backData Engineer/Statistical Analyst

The applicant will be extensively involved in working in a multidisciplinary environment and would be engaged in data manipulation, data analysis, development, design and implementation of a wide range of data models, claim data and valuation modeling.


- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Statistics, or related majors preferred

- Two or more years of experience in Geospatial data analytics and visualization is desirable

- Good programming skills (R, Python, Java, C, FORTRAN, SQL, C# etc.) Experience with HTML5/CSS/JavaScript and MySQL database.

- High level of proficiency in data analysis, statistical inference and data manipulation. Experience in handling large data sets

- Experience in one or more of the following would be useful: underwriting, data mining, developing analytical models or Actuarial Analysis

- Excellent written and verbal skills, as evidenced by technical presentations at meetings and conferences

- A team player with a high-degree of self-motivation

Main responsibilities:

- Collect data, clean data, and data ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) from different data sources

- Calibration and validation of model results

- Visualization of model results
